School Age

(5 - 12 years)

We offer a summer program, before and after school care, as well as all day drop in care for non-school days (teacher in-service). These programs are designed to provide the children with a variety of enriching activities. The children will participate in a balance of activities such as: indoor/outdoor free play, science and math workbooks, science projects, daily journal entries, educational computer games, puzzle and board games, art and sensory, self-esteem activities, cooking and baking, dramatic play, and participating in reading to younger children in the center. Students will also participate in weekly themes (Hawaiian week, Olympic week, etc.), organized sports, bike and sprinkler days.

We also offer an Arts Enrichment (AE) program for our preschoolers. The AE program is an engaging series of one hour classes focusing on four major areas of the fine arts. Miss Angela, who holds a BFA in Acting, teaches an hour long class each day involving imaginative play (storytelling, role playing and creative exploration), music (visualization, rhythms, dynamics and more), movement and dance, and visual arts and crafts. These classes are presented with weekly themes focusing on different cultures and/or historical time periods, adding to their daily lessons and sparking their creativity.
